District and Sessions Court on Thursday issued arrestee warrants for Kot Lakhput jail superintendent for August 31, for not complying with the court order.

A convicted prisoner of Kot Lakhput jail, Maqsood Butt, had filed a petition stating that he was suffering from an illness and wanted to have his medical checkup outside the jail. The court had directed the superintendent jail to arrange his medical checkup and produce the medical report before the court.

On Thursday, during the case preceding, it was revealed that the superintendent had not produced the medical report, as plaintiff was not facilitated according to the court orders.

On the negligence of the superintendent, the court issued his arrest warrants and directed him to appear before the court by August 31.
