Eight members of a family, including six children, were injured when their the roof

of their house collapsed in Shahdara on Thursday.

The injured were identified as Zareena Bibi, 45, Bilal, 23, Halima, 2, Zainab, 2, Haseena, 2, Nisha, 4, and Rimsha, 8.

Police said that Zareena and her family were in the main room of the house when the roof caved in. As a result, all of them were trapped under the debris. Locals of the area with the help of rescue teams took out the injured from the debris. They were shifted to Mayo Hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger.

Youth found dead in drain: A 22-year-old unidentified youth was found dead in a drain at LOS Society, Icchra, on Thursday.

Police suspected that the youth might have been murdered by some unidentified person/s who later dumped the body into the drain.

Local spotted the body stuck under the drain bridge and informed the police about it. Police shifted it to morgue.

Three killed in accidents: Two employees of the Lahore High Court were run over and killed by a speeding bus in the Multan Road area on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Amanat, 30 and Ajmal, 25. Police said the victims were on their way home on a motorbike when a speeding bus hit him near Sundar Chowki on Multan Road. As a result, both sustained severe injuries and they were rushed to hospital where the doctors pronounced them dead. Police handed over the bodies to their families after completion of legal procedure.

In another accident, a truck driver died while three others sustained injuries in the Kahna area.

The deceased was identified as Asad Khan. Police said the truck ploughed into a house along a road and Asad died on the spot. Three people present in the house sustained injuries. Locals shifted the injured to hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.
